Todd Atticus burst onto art scene very shortly after graduating with a BA from University College Falmouth. His Don’t Stare So Romantically project – shown across multiple venues and digital platforms – was a vital and fresh reminder of the crossroads that art stands at in the 21st century.
Effortlessly blending actual advertising and commercial visual language with a tongue-in-cheek attitude to art production and promotion, Atticus’ showcased his trademark refusal to play by the rules that has come to be known as his calling card.
Atticus has gone on to exhibit his work internationally. He often shows physical artwork alongside a digital and performed narrative that seeks to dissect the purpose and importance of his own practice, the role of the artist and the act of viewing art. He draws heavily on advertising, art history, art marketing and popular culture.
He currently lives in Madrid, where he has a studio.
