This month's playlist features tracks from Khruangbin, Nadine Shah and Willie J Healey.
Todd Atticus has shared his Studio Mixtape for July. It's the fourth instalment curated under lockdown and features a mix of new tracks from 2020 and a few older gems. You can listen to it below and on Spotify.
Describing this month's playlist as "euphoria for the long haul" and "a bit of a party", Atticus has turned increasingly to sharing uptempo and dance tracks during the coronavirus crisis. Explaining on Twitter, the artist said that he'd been listening to latin-jazz, acrobat, classic soul and funk and that "while the world feels distant and the textures in our lives are threadbare, it's important to bring the life inside."
Among this month's tracks is ENERGY, the brand new single from Disclosure and the first new music from them in five years. The track, which opens this month's mixtape and sets the tone for the collection of 14 songs, features vocals from American motivational speaker Eric Thomas.
New tracks from Nadine Shah, Willie J Healey and Khruangbin also feature.
Studio mixtape is an ongoing series of playlists released every month to reflect the soundtrack to Todd Atticus' studio. Subscribe on Spotify to have the playlist automatically updated every month.
